| Although it originated in Persia, the Cypress plant is also a common sight in Mediterranean landscapes. In Morocco, Cypress is often grown in hedges to protect cropland. The hedges are periodically pruned, providing a raw material that is transformed into an essential oil by Biolandes Maroc. The distillation of Cypress clippings is also a tradition in Provence. A farmer located near our Valréas site has developed certified organic Cypress. The young plants are harvested by machine and yield a very "leafy" raw material. After cutting, they sprout again and regrow. Biolandes' organic (Ecocert EC) essential oil of Cypress is a sustainable product with a significant availability. | Terpenic family / aromatic, green, diffusive, spicy |
